German Unemployment At Highest Level Since WWII.

The number of people out of work in January rose by 227,000 to 4.71 million in seasonally adjusted terms, including 230,000 new jobless claimants, the Nuremberg-based Federal Labor Agency said today. The adjusted unemployment rate rose to 11.4 percent, a seven-year high, while the unadjusted jobless total passed 5 million for the first time since the war.

Prostitution was legalised in Germany just over two years ago and brothel owners – who must pay tax and employee health insurance – were granted access to official databases of jobseekers.

Democrats Release Copy Of Rebuttal

Top congressional democrats released a copy of their rebuttal to President Bush's State Of The Union Address. Monday they issued a pre-emptive strike. Today it is a post-emptive strike, only it is released before the address so it is a pre-post-emptive strike.

I am not going to fisk it, your host just isn't in the mood. But I will say this to Harry Reid and Nancy Pelosi.

Nancy, Harry, you are right. Bush sucks. Afghanistan and Iraq are fledgling democracies and have the best hope for a bright future in their history. Terrorists have been reduced to taking dolls hostage. Do you understand that Nancy, THEY ARE TAKING DOLLS HOSTAGE!! So yeah Bush sucks............Somebody beer me damn it.
